Two Years, An Artist.

After leaving a magnificent  and encouraging community in Jacksonville, Florida. I drove to the abyss movie land, Los Angeles. Now to find myself in the Mile High City. My second year in Los Angeles I built a great relationship with Fox Network renting my art work to Reality TV shows like “Hell’s Kitchen” and other movies with the wonderful help of Sally and the staff at Fox. Additionally displaying works in higher end clothing stores up and down the wonderful strip of Colorado Avenue in Pasadena. In West Hollywood “Neon Venus Gallery” was showing my work and now they have a permanent collection thanks to owner Lissette Salazar. In next to no time I found a true asset Kendra Cryan, she helped me find downtown Los Angeles galleries that fit my work like “2nd and Gallery”. Had the honor of painting and living in what the LA Times calls the largest artist community in the world “The Brewery Artist Lofts”. Taking part in the Brewery’s highly publicized semi-annual art walks. With Argot and Ochre and Yoo-N-LA Magazine writing right along about the happenings. All with the supportive backbone of Bob DeRosa and Jen Smith. Even though I moved away from some amazing folks. It was time to go.

I landed in Denver last year about this time. My childhood friend Jon Baird and now wife Rachael Burger took me in. Soon after that I met Maia Stone with Colorado Creative and was accepted to participate with my interactive art installation for Denver’s neighborhood, Five Points. Which opened during the annual Jazz Festival. Where Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Count Basie and Dizzy Gillespie all played one time or another. In next to no time found Great Divide Brewery the finest brewery in the city (and there are many in Denver) to display many of  paintings from the “Two Winters, One Summer” series of mine. A wonderful gentleman Ryan Park and his company “Arrae Creative” contacted me about a complete make-over of my website, with their talent I couldn’t say no.  Moving on I came across Ander Archer with Archer Concept Group. They exhibited my art in Denver’s largest building “Republic Plaza” a Broomfield’s property and we have plans for a next show in May with Archer Concept Group. I captured 1st place in the professional category hosted by Colorado Business Committee for the Arts which enhanced me to a regional group show. Subsequently Blake Brown got in touch with me about representation with his company “Artist Network” in the Arts District, Santa Fe right here in Denver and I look forward to working with his company further in the future.
